James Madison is often called the "father of the Constitution", and so be it. However, a better analogy is that in America's "Constitution College" the Distinguished Professor of Government was GW, also GW as George Washington, GW's very able "graduate student" was his friend and collaborator James Madison, or "little Jamey Madison" who was intellectually a "giant" of a man like his mentor Washington. The "research librarian" was another intellectual giant, physically the tallest of the three great men, Thomas Jefferson, yet by far GW has had the greatest world impact.
